For information on any of the streams, click a stream on the map above, or
select a name from the list. Right now the pages mostly feature links to online
maps, but more extensive info is planned for the future.
There is also an enhanced version of this page that
contains a more flashy interface to the above map. (The rivers change color
and identify themselves when you point a mouse at them.) That version of the
atlas uses layers for the interactive map, and requires Netscape or Internet
Explorer 4 or higher.
The streams listed here are the major medium-to-large rivers that support brown
and rainbow trout, as well as a few smaller streams. There are countless small
streams not listed here that offer fun fishing for wild brookies; pretty much
any headwaters in the state fill that bill nicely.
